Reescritas
Reescritas nasce do encontro entre dois tempos:
o dos livros antigos — quando o mundo era registrado como algo fixo —
e o presente, em que cada um de nós edita e performa versões de si diariamente.
Quem seríamos nós se tivéssemos vivido no tempo dessas páginas?
O passado entra em conflito com um presente digitalizado, onde imperam a superficialidade, o consumismo e uma estética de perfeição fabricada e inalcançável.
A verdade se dissolve entre filtros, performances e uma narrativa contínua de felicidade e sucesso.
A série questiona a busca desenfreada por pertencimento — e a comparação incessante que nos fragmenta. A pressão por perfeição transforma a identidade em um projeto interminável e exaustivo.
Reescritas questiona não apenas o que mostramos, mas o que deixamos de ser ao nos mostrarmos tanto. O que se perde quando a vida se torna performance contínua, e o que pode emergir quando ninguém está olhando.
A série imagina versões menos editadas de nós mesmos — aquelas que talvez sobrevivessem se ainda vivêssemos no tempo dos livros, quando a narrativa não precisava ser construída, apenas vivida.
Reescritas transforma esses materiais em obras que não buscam restituir verdades, mas provocar novas perguntas.
E, no centro de todas elas, permanece a questão que me move desde o começo:
Quem somos nós agora — quando ninguém está vendo?
Reescritas is born from the meeting of two different times:
the time of old books — when the world was recorded as something fixed —
and the present, in which each of us edits and performs versions of ourselves every day.
Who would we be if we had lived in the time of those pages?
The past clashes with a digitized present, ruled by superficiality, consumerism, and an aesthetic of fabricated and unattainable perfection.
Truth dissolves into filters, performances, and a continuous narrative of happiness and success.
The series questions the relentless pursuit of belonging — and the constant comparison that fragments us. The pressure to be perfect turns identity into an endless and exhausting project.
Reescritas questions not only what we choose to show, but what we stop being as we show ourselves so much. What is lost when life becomes a continuous performance, and what might emerge when no one is watching.
The series imagines less edited versions of ourselves — those that might have survived if we still lived in the time of books, when a narrative didn’t need to be constructed, only lived.
Reescritas transforms these materials into works that do not seek to restore truths, but to provoke new questions.
And at the center of all of them remains the question that has moved me from the very beginning:
Who are we now — when no one is watching?
